German police have made a series of arrests after uncovering a plot to overthrow the duly elected Government. The plotters apparently belong to the Reichsbürger movement faction that revolve around a 71 year old Prince, Heinrich III.
The original Kommissarische Reichsregierung was founded in 1985 by Wolfgang Gerhard Günter Ebel which evolved into the current Reichsbürger movement; der Reichsbürgerbewegung.
Der Reichsbürgerbewegungis far right in ideology with members from different political factions. They have about 21 thousand members holding loosely bound conspiracy theories such as QAnon, in fact the German version of the Trump MAGA mob.
National Socialism has little to do with der Reichsbürgerbewegung who wish to form another or restore the German Empire. The self-described Reichsbürger maintain that the Federal Republic of Germany is illegitimate and that the Reich's 1919 Weimar Constitution (or an earlier constitution) remains in effect. They also negate the legitimacy of the early nationalsozialistische government. The plotters have Prince Heinrich XIII (71) as their leader.
It seems some have got themselves into a bit of bother, plotting to over throw the German Government and murder. The German Intelligence Service uncovered the plot and arranged the arrest of 25 plotters. The far-right coup plotters had mapped out their own government, with people chosen for cabinet-like roles if they succeeded in overthrowing Germany's elected leaders.
Organizers started forming a leadership council and adopted a structure seeking to mirror a federal government. Members had been named to operate as the new justice minister and in other roles, with Heinrich tapped to be the future head of state, according to the prosecutor's office.
The group also has a military wing, their plan includes the creation of a new military. Members of the police, military and intelligence services are involved in the plot.
This is not over.
