What is the role of historians in the "Holocaust hoax"?

The majority of holocaust historians are Jews. The historians by default are not independent.

Calling people who question facets of the claim "deniers" is a part of the self deception. Independent review is needed not Jewish review. By default Jews have a bias.

Discussing available evidence and reaching different conclusions is normal in all debate. There are few non Jewish historians of the alleged holocaust. I think it would dignify Jewish reality to seek the truth not the fable.

There is little evidence that the true believers have established anything except lies, uncertainty and threats.

Pompous platitudes of mere nothingness

That is a fact, they seek information to support pre-held beliefs and then hold that as truth. This is known as a "confirmation bias", where only information that might support a belief is held, opposing evidence is discarded. Like you those historians are the master of confirmation bias, which means anything they do is compromised.
The truth is whether it is history or a novel, there must be an audience, interested people. Most people do not give a rats rectum about the holocaust except the Jews themselves. Non Jewish Historians or authors have little credibility with the audience which is why only the Jewish authors have credibility, so target their material for them.
