Welcome back, Blake! Thanks Scott. Hey, I just read one of your replies on Counter-Currents about the "all men are created equal" thingie. I took an elective PoliSci class in University which went over the Constitutional Conventions. They denied that numerous times. Ridiculed the concept. I wonder why there isn't some hack on the Internet quoting those things? They denied the concept probably dozens of times - just over and over. You should look over those meeting minutes to strengthen your argument with direct quotes from the constitutional conventions and the Federalist Papers and the .... etc. That concept was most certainly not in the Constitution - it was specifically ridiculed and denied repeatedly. EDIT: A quick google search brings this, from 1999, up which addresses the subject: The strange history of "All Men Are Created Equal"but scant mention of the Federalist Papers or Constitutional Conventions (mentions the 2nd but not with direct refutation). It's possible I might be wrong. Maybe I'm confusing it with later denunciations - mentioned in that paper. It came up over and over somewhere in readings for the course. The class had ALOT of reading in it - probably the most of any class I ever took. Had to read a Lincoln-Douglas debate for instance - which is quite a long read. They debated for hours on end. |

Hey, guys. I will be posting here as Gibson. I've been inclined toward H revisionism since around 2018. At that point I thought it was "probably" false but I had not looked at it in detail. In 2020 for whatever reason I started getting a lot more into it. I guess I felt a need to reach a definitive conclusion. After a couple of months of research I felt pretty certain the standard history was demonstrably false.
I never had an account at the old Rodoh but I lurked there sometimes. I have posted some over at Skeptics Forum, also as Gibson (one of the few active revisionist accounts over there). Maybe I will do a thread with my observations about that forum.

I just browsed over at Skeptics, and Balmoral is claiming that I said some execrable things on the old RODOH about Jewish Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot and nearly killed by a loon in a Tucson marketplace in early 2011. And a few people like our own Jeff8675309 "upboated" his comments. This is a bald-faced lie, of course.I never would have voted for her โ and I did not vote in the narrow 2022 election for her former-astronaut husband, Senator Mark Kelly โ but I never made any comments about Giffords other than to condemn the attack on her and to ridicule Jared Lee Loughner, the nutcase who shot and nearly killed the Congresswoman. |

I am not really sure what the post above is doing in the welcome topic. The Giffords shooting took place a long time ago but I do remember Scott said nothing which could be described as being even vaguely โdespicableโ about Giffords or the shooting. This isnโt the first time Balmoral has attempted to defame individuals over the years, and given his track record I doubt it will be the last. Letโs see if Balmoral can produce a direct quote of Scott being โdespicableโ regarding Giffords. As far as I am aware JeffK wasnโt involved in the holocaust enthusiast community back in 2011. It therefore appears Jeff will mindlessly support any unsubstantiated insults against revisionists. For those of you new to our community I am the one Balmoral refers to as Fish. At the time I was less than sympathetic towards Giffords. Shortly after the shooting I had researched her and found she had betrayed her constituents. If I remember correctly she had abstained during an important vote on illegal immigration in Arizona. The Judge who was killed was a crook. At the time of writing the others who had been killed had not been named. I drew the wrath of Balmoral and in particular StatMech for saying Giffords and the judge were no loss to society. That is still my view today and I make no apologies for it. Having said that I want to make it clear I deplore violence and do not condone that shooting. Some months after the shooting, I came across a list of American politicians who were involved with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). The list included free flights to Israel given to these politicians and other interesting financial information. I still kick myself whenever I think about it because Giffords name was on the list and I never saved it. Giffords cared more about Israel than she did about the people she represented in Arizona. How I described Giffords and the crooked judge back in 2011. I am the guilty party here not Scott Smith. My crime - not caring enough about poor Gabby Giffords. |

Yeah, when Gibson introduced himself above, he mentioned having participated over at Skeptics. So I just happened to go lurk over there for the heck of it, and was immediately rewarded with a new post about me from an old lie. Wow. I don't browse over there often. What are the odds? I don't really care too much about them. They banned me over suggesting that the Napoleonic method (see my forum signature) should have been applied in 2020 during the Summer of Floyd riots. Yeah, what a bunch of Snowflakes. |
