Eli Rosenberg eye witness said: The Malkinia-Siedlce railway line is not a side track. From this statement it is clear that this Treblinka is not TII. There seems to be some dispute over whether the wagons were detached at Malkinia station or Treblinka station. My answer is that it was clearly Malkinia station. The "side track" probably refers to a trolley line that provided transportation through the local villages and quarries separate from the Malkinia-Siedlce railway line. It would make sense for an industrial trolley line to connect the local industrial centers with Malkinia junction, rather than haul gravel on the main Malkinia-Siedlce line. On this note, there is an account of a trolley within the TII camp. It was also said that trolley rails were used for the cremation grill in TII. A narrow-gauge rail was recently excavated in Treblinka I. 1944 pictures of the Treblinka spur show what is more likely a trolley rail than a main line. Lastly, that train of 15 covered goods wagons which were frequently transported between Malkinia and TII were almost certainly, more often than not, filled with luggage, old clothes, and confiscated property from cleared out ghettos rather than than with Jews.

PR keep up the good work. Thanks here is a photo of the narrow gauge in Treblinka. The false claim is that this is wood for the pyres, Note the smiling faces of the men and perhaps the two youths assisting. There are pylons of rock in the back ground you may find interesting. These are cables it seems.

What is being hauled on the cart? They seem to be small bundles of something of uniform length. Anybody know or have a guess?

Nah, the Jews claimed that twigs and brush were used for the pyres.

The location of Treblinka near Malkinia has been presented as an alternative to the current TII, which may well have been the judenlager for TI. Two Jewish TI camps have been identified: male and female.
The first Wiernik map shows that Treblinka is adjacent to the Warsaw- Bialystok line whereas the current TII was adjacent to the Malkinia-Siedlce line. The orientation of the Wiernik map is also out when considered where North is.
Train schedules typically show that Treblinka was 7 mins by stream train. A fully laden steam train cannot traverse the distance of 5 km fully laden in that time.
There is the testimony of Eli Rozenberg
There is only mention of the Malkinia station, not Treblinka. Having a side track or spur means the camp was reasonably close. However, this is also what Prudent Regret was investigating.
Most of the witnesses to Treblinka state they arrive at the Treblinka Railway station where the the carriages are put onto a siding, then shunted by another train down the spur to the camp.

The location of TII monument is 1.2 km north east of the town, Wolka Ograglik. On 6 November 1945, investigating judge Z ลukaszkiewicz, in the presence of J. Maciejewski, a prosecutor of the District Court in Siedlce, K. Trautsolt, a sworn ground surveyor, witnesses Samuel Rajzman and Henryk Rajchman-Romanowski and Stanisลaw Kucharek, village leader of Wรณlka Okrฤ
glik, inspected the site where Treblinka death camp was located, Kosรณw Lacki municipality, Sokoลรณw Podlaski district. linkIn the course of the activities, with the witnesses and the village leader consulted for information and explanations, the following facts were established: While the Trablinka railway station is about 5km NW of Wolka Okraglik, TII monument is 1.2 km NW of the town. The township is 1.2 km South East of the TII monument. The Treblinka 1 labour camp has the township 2 km North East. They have stated on oath the penal camp (TI) is some 2 km west of TII when in fact it is 1.7 km South West of the Treblinka monument. If these people are correct then the camp is in the location marked TC on image below.
