RODOH forum policy regarding URLs

Post by Depth Check » Sat Sep 01, 2012 12:45 pm

It is RODOH policy that all links are enclosed within BBcode URL tags. Please use the URL-button on your links before posting. Alternatively you can type them in as you construct your post (). Example:

Code: Select all

[url]http://www.rodoh.us/[/url]

Thank you for your cooperation.

To label URLs use the URL= code like this:

Code: Select all

[url=http://rodoh.info/forum/]This is a link to the RODOH forum[/url]
This is a link to the RODOH forum

Here's another view of the code above. Just delete the asterisks (shown in red) from this text and the code will work!

[*url=ht*tp://rodoh.info/forum/]This is a link to the RODOH forum[/*url]

Here is a different example, done in exactly the same way with the URL= code:

[*url=ht*tps://forum.axishistory.com/]This is a link to the Axis History Forum[/*url]

Thanks

Here are some additional examples about how to create URL tags. This makes the board look better by reducing the number of broken links. It is an officially required practice to enclose your links with URL tags.

Thanks for your cooperation.

That should lead to a link saying:

http//www.nazibollocks.canard.mgksays.b ... .liars.com

Not A REAL LINK by the way.

Or, [...] you can copy your link, then click the URL (or linked chain) tag in the menu of actions atop the typing box, then paste and the link will go right where it belongs.
