Is it OK to post a topic that is being/has been covered elsewhere?
Can we see who has moderated a comment?
Will there be moderation of been-there?

Some of the details are still being worked out but I don't think there is any limit on the topic type and whether it has been dealt with before elsewhere as long as it follows Been-There's rules. He will not simply approve it for posting until he is done working out the moderation details with the poster.

The new subforum has a very high bar of inclusion/exclusion, unlike the rest of the board. It is not a robust back-and-forth and no ad hominem is allowed.

This new sub-forum has been almost two years in the making from discussions with Been-There. Basically, the simpler, more focused and more concise the submission the better, otherwise the post should go into other parts of the forum with different standards or it may never see the light of day.

The rules and posting or moderation regarding any of the existing subforums have not been changed. Any comments or other discussion about the Formal Propositions subforum can go here.

Not until someone else has posted there to show what will be accepted and been-there can show he will be fair and even handed with his rules. Considering he has regularly hurled insults and relied heavily on logical fallacies to support his arguments, it does not bode well that he will be able to do that.

You don't have anything to lose by trying. Just keep it simple and concise and to the point and it should be fine when published in the new subforum.

This new "Propositions ..." subforum will be a nice collection of different ideas without ad hominems for a change.

A few words from our new moderator;

"More evidence that you are unintelligently trolling and this is yet another of your ill-informed, knee-jerk instinctive, stubbornly-ignorant replies. You KNOW nothing at all about the subject, do you?"

"You are again showing your hasbara tactic is to just deny all evidence that exposes the fallacies of your belief-system and that you do that without even understanding what it is you are attempting to refute."

"That is your own stubbornly stupid miscomprehension and argument from willful ignorance."

"I have not written any personal attack against you."

Do you think he will let posts be published where his arguments are described as unintelligent, trolling, ill-informed, knee-jerk, stubborn, ignorant, fallacious, ignorant etc? According to him such descriptives are acceptable and in in the rules since they are not a person attack.

You should just make Hannover a moderator and be done with it :roll:

Just give it a chance. You are not debating him or with him in this case. And ideas are not confined to that subforum either. The rest of the board is not being changed.

Grow up, Nessie. Your fear of honest debate within controlled guidelines is laid bare for all to see with this latest bout of whinging.
