Nazi attitudes towards the Slavs.

Post by Nessie » Mon Nov 07, 2016 7:25 am

A spin off from another debate. Nazi attitudes towards Slavs and how the were regarded as subhuman.

"Der Untermensch "The subhuman"....... On the infinite a steppes of Russian territory lay Eastern Europe. A sharp contrast is noticed when comparing central Europe with this enormous space. On both sides of the border is the same earth but not the same man.
It is the man who makes his mark on the landscape, while on the German side is planned orderly fields yielding abundant harvests; the other side is only impenetrable forests, vast and unkempt, miles of uninhabited steppes where even the rivers wind endlessly through the nothingness.
This poorly kept land which hides fertile soil could be a paradise for man, a potential "California of Europe" alive with fields and fruit, but instead it lies neglected and wasted, lost to the abyss of cultural nihilism.
This land cries out against the subhuman and his wasteful ways! This fertile black earth watered by burning tears, is only barely separated from the rest of Europe. However its Eastern European masters have not risen above their primitive ways."

Citation, please.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racial_po ... ther_Slavs

"After the invasion of the Soviet Union, Hitler expressed his future plans for the Slavs:
As for the ridiculous hundred million Slavs, we will mould the best of them as we see fit, and we will isolate the rest of them in their own pig-styes; and anyone who talks about cherishing the local inhabitants and civilising them, goes straight off into a concentration camp![63]
Nazi ideology viewed the Slavic peoples as non-Aryan Untermenschen ("sub-humans"), who were targeted for enslavement, expulsion and extermination.[21] Hitler viewed the Slavs as "a mass of born slaves who feel the need of a master".[64] Nazi propaganda portrayed the Germanic peoples as "heroes" in contrast to the Jewish and Slavic "sub-humans".[65] Nazi propaganda depicted Eastern Europe as racially mixed "Asiatic" that was dominated by the Jews with the aid of Bolshevism.[25]"

The article links to its numerous sources. You should read up on Lebensraum, Untermensch and Generalplan Ost.
Assuming that is true, that is just Adolf Hitler expressing his dislike for the Slavic people.

Please, show direct evidence there was a policy in place which "Slavs were only just above the Jews in the Nazi racial pecking order".

Otherwise, stop to repeat lies about the National Socialists.

I asked you direct evidence of a policy in place by the National socialists were it shows - or at least implies - the "slavs were only just above the Jews in the Nazi racial pecking order".

You presented me a secondary source for a book which I already have a copy and I know that is not direct evidence the "slavs were only just above the Jews in the Nazi racial pecking order".

Stop to lie about the National Socialists.

"OSARITSCHI, district of Kalinkowitschi

One of the tragic aspects of the history of the Belorussian people - the fate of the prisoners from the camp in Ozaritschi.

The bloody traces of the crimes connected with the establishment and the activity of the death camps also left the defense power in Belarus.

In 1944, the command of the Wehrmacht broadly used the practice of applying the civilian population as a backdrop (guarding wall) on the way of the advance of the Soviet Army. In general, the Nazis surrounded larger floor areas on the demanded line of defenses with the barbed wire, driving there women, children and old people, guarding them hard and leaving people without accommodation, food and water. The people who were affected by typhus and other infectious diseases were deliberately taken to the hospital."

The source does not refer to any policies from the National Socialists neither claims people were discriminated because they were Slavs.

Der Untermensch (“The Underman”) is possibly the Third Reich’s most famous, misquoted, and misrepresented publication ever.

First issued in 1942 by the SS head office under the direct orders of Heinrich Himmler, The Underman has ever since been portrayed as “anti-Slavic,” “anti-Russian,” and “anti-Jewish.” In fact only the third allegation has any truth to it. The “anti-Slavic” and “anti-Russian” claims are merely the product of postwar propaganda, reliant on the fact that almost no one would have the chance to actually read the publication for themselves.

(...)

In addition to its rarity, the text has also never been correctly and fully translated into English (until now), a fact which has greatly eased the task of those seeking to distort what it actually says.

Ideologically hostile Jewish propagandists have, for example, engaged in outright forgery and misrepresentation of its contents, while a single translation made by an ideologically sympathetic postwar publisher suffered from serious grammatical and translation distortion errors.

(...)

Far from being anti-Slavic, the reader will see that the SS Head Office publication portrayed Russians as victims of Communism—and then specifically blamed Jews as being behind Communism, and, ideologically speaking, inheritors of a far older, far eastern attack on Europe which had started with Genghis Khan and the Mongols.

Nowhere in the SS book are the Slavic people denigrated, and in fact many of the traditional Slavic nations are mentioned in text and photograph as being part of the greater European family. European nations specifically mentioned in this book include Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Slovakia, Croatia, Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Romania.

The suffering of ordinary Russian people under the Soviet system forms a large focus in this work, and at all times great sympathy is evoked for these victims of Communism: men, women and children alike. Special mention is made of their awful living conditions, inflicted by the Soviet economic collectivization system, and always condemned only as the result of Communism.

In addition, the economics, social structure, art, and even freedom of religion under the Soviet state is dramatically and graphically compared with Germany—and elsewhere in Europe.

Finally, after reviewing numerous Soviet atrocities and Communist secret police torture chambers discovered during the German advance into the Baltic states and the Ukraine, this SS book ends with a dramatic series of photographs showing the murderous intentions of the Soviet state—and a warning that if the European people did not unite and together fight off the attack by the “Jewish-led Underman,” then Europe itself would be destroyed.

Nessie showing his contempt for "low intelligence" people who does not believe in the lies he perpetrates about the National Socialists:

If someone does not believe the evil Germans made barbecue of 6,000,000 Jews during the WWII he must have a low intelligence, right Nessie?
With that misrepresentation of what I have said, you have shown yourself to be unable to counter what I have have actually said. Think about what that would look like to an academic or educator you are trying to convince the Holocaust did not happen. Maybe then you will understand why denier/revisionists themselves are keeping their cause in the outer margins, appealing only to unintelligent anti-Semites.

The evidence you are posting (secondary sources, got any primary?) further back up the claim the Nazis were racists who looked down on the Slavs. Hence Slavs were imprisoned, used as forced labour. Russian forced labourers ended up in the Channel Islands because the islanders refused to work for the Nazis

http://www.theislandwiki.org/index.php/Forced_workers

The British islanders where held in higher esteem that the Slavs.
