Re: German plans to enslave the British: True or false?

FALSE. Obviously, first of all, Operation Sea Lion was never more than a diplomatic bluff to induce the British to accept Hitler's generous offers for peace. This is well-documented. Hitler never wanted to fight the English, nor Western Europe, and saw the Communists as the real enemy--perhaps unde...

German plans to enslave the British: True or false?

I was recently doing some reading about operation Sea Lion, the German plan to invade Britain in 1940, when I came upon a quora page related to that. It was about what would have happened to the UK under Nazi occupation. To my surprise, one of the commentors stated that they had plans to enslave mos...

Re: What really set WW2 in motion?

In what way was the Soviet Union a "nuisance" to British "plans"? Theres alot of reasons. But essentially, you have to understand that the communists who seized power during the October revolution were provocateurs who were funded by the West. Vladimir Lenin was sent by the Germans, while Leon Trot...

Re: What really set WW2 in motion?

You also missed out Lebensraum and Hitlers desire for a Greater Reich, taking back land he believed was German and Germany should have so it would be more self sufficient. He also hated Slavs and Communists and so a conflict between Germany and the Soviets was odds on, with or without any British o...

Re: Space-X and Elon Musk

Thank you. Much more thinking to do on your information. We know the US were divided on criticality issues with plutonium gun type devices and the eventual use of U235 element v the implosion plutonium device., including the lenses to focus the explosion criticality. I am certain that Heisenberg al...

Re: Space-X and Elon Musk

Thank you, your analysis is brilliant. I or we knew very little of the Spanish intrigue so that is daunting, though it was suggested. I guess Mr Speer was there as an architect, for what? SS-Obergruppenführer und General der Polizei Reinhard Tristan Eugen Heydrich was in charge of that operation at...

Re: Space-X and Elon Musk

This is excellent, thank you. Nuclear weapons are another topic which is worthy of great discussion. In critical situations like this time is a key factor and motivation. Psychologically, I have a feeling Heisenberg stalled..no evidence whatsoever, except he was a super intelligent man and would ha...

Re: Space-X and Elon Musk

Its certainly a very impressive achievement. This thing can lift insane amounts of payload into orbit. Not as much as the Saturn V, but still pretty damn powerful. Moreover, the Falcon Heavy is reusable and can vertical land, a historic first. We tend to think that if Heisenberg and his team develop...

What really set WW2 in motion?

We all know the traditional explanation of how WW2 began. The war mongering Nazis wanted to build up their power base and become strong enough to launch a war for global dominance. And the timid, pacifist Allys were forced to engage in numerous acts of appeasement. They had to allow transgressions l...
